SEO was founded in 1963 as one of NYC's first mentoring organizations. Our mission is to prepare young people to lead by example in their families, communities, and careers. SEO provides superior educational and career programs to young people from underserved communities, addressing inequities in education and opportunity that often limit their success. The goal of the SEO Scholars program, which is the focus of this grant application, is to transform low-income public high school students into college graduates.
