Boys & Girls Clubs of Dorchester (BGCD) is a leading youth development organization founded in 1974 to provide a safe haven and life-enhancing opportunities to the youth of Dorchester, Massachusetts. Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, from diverse circumstances, to realize their full potential by providing opportunities for personal growth to become contributing, caring and responsible members of the community. Inside our three clubhouses, young people find a safe and positive space, the guidance of caring staff, a wealth of new friends to be made, and a supportive environment in which they can discover and develop their unique talents and skills. Annual membership dues of just $5 ensure that every child has access to exceptional out-of-school time programming.

2024 Life Skills Grant | $75,000
Toward the support of their general programming, which provides disadvantaged youth of all abilities with basic necessities, educational support, and physical enrichment that enhances their lives and shapes their futures.

2023 Legacy Grant | $75,000
Towards the support of their youth development programming which addresses the basic needs, educational efforts, career aspirations, and physical/emotional well-being of children of all abilities in Boston’s inner city.

2022 Academic Readiness/Post Secondary Success Grant | $50,000
Toward the support of their general programming, which provides at-risk, disadvantaged youth with life-enhancing programs and activities that will enhance their lives and shape their futures.
